PREFERRED HI TEST TO USE NY & PA STATE

Hi-Test.....good grief man!!! You mean Premium???? We use Citgo 94octane works well with my 10-1, 430 CI. Im sure you will get many different answers. :3gears:

 

Sunoco 94 is pretty good in Pa....

 

In California we get the high prices, and can only buy 91 octane, it's a rip

Not as many Sunoco's in my part of NY, but I've had great luck with Hess or Mobil 93.

 

What's wrong with the term "High Test"? I always call it that.

 

Fuel Question

I USE SUNOCO 94 IN PA. NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. DAVE

 

You can't get Sunoco 94 in NY anymore. They phased it out last year in NY and I think the rest of New England. They kept the name Ultra, and us of the 93 and charge the same they did for 94 and use 91 for their Premium. I stick with Hess 93 pretty much exclusively.

Sunoco Ultra 94 works great for me

 

am i correct in ststaing that sunoco ultra 94 gains this rating due to the presence of alcohol.
years ago, brfore unleaded gas, there were 3 grades of gasoline - "hi-test or ethyl"
(#1 grade gas), "regular" (#2 grade gas), and "tractor gas" (#3 grade gas) .

Sunoco's Ultra "94" is long gone in Mass. also

 

BP / Amoco - mostly because the majority of their petrolium is NOT sourced from the Middle East
