At the risk of being accused to hijacking this thread I am going Monday to have a tumor removed from my spine column . Only way to do biopsy is to open up spinal column and go after it . will be in hospital about a week and depending on the outcome of biopsy will determine further treatment . sorry for the hi jack ,but will keep your wife in our prayers Mike
You'll have prayers from here too. My wife had Stage 3 breast cancer 2 years ago.Hers was spread across a larger area (instead of easier to find lumps) which is why her's was so progressed, also made it into her lymph nodes (under arm). Was one of the most difficult times, and also one of the best. It was nothing short of amazing to see how God provided for us in EVERY need. Our 3 small children dealt with it well, and I am happy to say she is still cancer free. I still remember falling to my knees on a rough part of this journey, and praying for all I was worth, trying to understand it all, and shortly there after "Lean not on your own understanding" boomed into my head. I had tons of people telling me "Just to have faith" but when this personal "message" came along it was the most comforting words I had received. Anyhow I pray they are just cysts for your wife, but if not God WILL pull you through it if you lean on Him Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,to them who are called according to His purpose. God bless both of you and you have our prayers.
Many thanks from damp Washington state. As expected, this appointment basically confirmed for the doc that there are lumps that need further investigation. He found three rather than four. He did a little scolding about regular check-ups and exams. He did a referral to a specialist within the same medical group. To make this a bit harder, she told me that she doesn't want to go through the same ordeal her mother went through with chemotherapy so has made the decision she won't if this turns out to be cancer. I don't know whether to scream at her or hog tie her and make her do it or what. Maybe both? I'll keep sending prayers up myself.
GS464, your family will be in our thoughts. My mom is in the reconstruction phase after the chemo/radiation phase. She is pretty much out of the woods, but it has been about a 1 year 2 month journey so far. Try to keep positive spirits, I account that for my mothers survival since odds were that she wouldn't. If your travels bring you to Yakima, get in touch with me. Best wishes from the not so damp but really really cold side of the state. Jim
GS464, you'll have my prayers. I can see how tough this is going to be, but God will be there for you folks. God Bless!
Prayers up for all of you! We had a scare this year with my wife as well and so far it's ok. God IS faithful and will hold you up no matter what so don't give up!

So keep that chin up and we all will pray for you to have GOOD NEWS for chrismass God Bless you and your wife.
I will be praying for your wife. My sister had high grade breast cancer. She had the lump removed and went through both chemo and radiation. She faced it head on without feeling bad for herself. She is the strongest willed person I know. Every time it knocked her down, she came back swinging. She is now totally cancer free and stronger than ever. Hopefully your wifes lumps are not cancer, just remember the power of Prayer along with a positive attitude as I have witnessed through my own eyes. Chris :TU:
Your Missus You all are in our prayers . God Bless . Stay strong and beside her . Anyway this turns out it'll bring you closer . My wife went thru a year-long treatment ,so far so good . Steve and Shirlene
