Please pray for Adam Colbert who is having complications from stomach surgery. Adam is a Buick guy from Beaver Falls also. It was his '87 Silver T-type that was crushed when Sports Car Gallery's roof fell over three weeks ago.
I stopped in at Bender's Friday for an oil change (oil plug on too tight, needed air tools). Jeff said that he was doing better. His fever was down, that stomach acid was no longer going into his lungs. However Adam had yet to regain consciousness from the surgery. He really needs our prayers.
Any update!!?? I will be praying for him to have quick healing and for God to be with the family also..............
Unfortunately, there has not been any changes. Adam is still in a coma and his lungs have recieved a significant amount of scarring and has been on a respirator. The doctors at this point are concerned about his kidneys as he has had a number of other health concerns prior to his surgery. We are still hoping he can pull out of it. I'm sorry I'm not quicker with the info, but I have to find out from others. The good news is that he had sold his T-type to Sports Car Gallery one day prior to the roof collapse and a week prior to his surgery.
Today, the doctors are going to perform a tracheotomy on Adam to help his breathing. His condition has not changed. He is still in critical condition and unconsious. He still needs our prayers and so does his family. It is difficult to imagine the burden that has been brought upon his wife and 2 year old son. I pray that they may have him awake and conscious for Christmas.
Toast, I wish your friend would get better soon. Thanks for the reminders to pray for him. Its sad how easy I forget sometimes. Have I met Adam? Also LMK if his family needs anything while he's in the hospital. Car help or anything?
My thoughts and prayers are with Adam, his family and his friends. Hope the doctors can make it better and he can have a good Christmas at home.
Nothing new, He's still in a coma. Although, we should be thankful because the doctors say his stomach is healing properly. I believe this should give us some hope that our prayers are being answered. We need to continue to pray for him. There are a number of other concerns that the doctors will not be able to factor until he is conscious. It is apparent that Adam has a long battle ahead.
Your prayers are paying off!! Yesterday, I was informed that Adam has regained conscousness. He is still unable to talk, but has made a great stride!
Toast!, Thats good news! If you can't make it to your folks for Christmas gimme a call. We'll have plenty of Christmas Lasagna!
The last I heard is that he has been moved from the hospital in Pittsburgh to a rehab facility in Beaver County.
