I've got a good friend named Gary Couch who is suffering from cancer. Forty years old with two children. Hunter is 8, hope is 5. The cancer is inoperable. He's take treatments to slow it down to buy some time. Pray for Gary and his wife and kids. They need divine entervention.
David, you got one here man. May He reach down and heal his soul and hopefully his body too. 40 is WAY too young. I'm 40, I still feel like an adolescent who hasn't begun to live. I can't even imagine that situation.
Gary,Holly, & their children will appreciate your prayers. He and I were coaching Hunter and my son, Jared's ball team together. He came home for a few days between treatments. Gary got to come to the ballgame lastnight. He really was'nt strong enough to be there, but I don't think you could have kept him from Hunter's first game of the season. Gary could not help but do a little sideline coaching. Hunter got a couple of good hits. I'm sure that thrilled Gary. We lost 6 to 4, but it was a good game anyway. The night took it's toll on Gary. He had to be helped back to the car. It's not easy to understand why someone so young could be struck with such an evil illness, but I guess we are not supposed to. We understand when we see HIM face too face. Keep Praying. Prayer can change anything.
