For all the magazine articles I've read concerning intakes for the BBB,I haven't read a significant article on development of any other dual-quad manifolds made for the 455 Buicks except the Offy Dual Quad intakes, and some adapters to fit some tunnel-ram Mopar intakes...why wasn't more of an effort to develop into a "tunnel ram" intake for the Buick? Was it because from a practical standpoint,no one could look up and see a HUGE hoodscoop protruding off of a Buick hood:shock: ,I saw a picture of the car called "Little Joe",it didn't look bad for its time. I certainly know that with the advent of the SP-1,and the SPX intakes available,it would appear that other than a sheet metal dual quad intake,a tunnel ram wouldn't be all that practical, not to mention any fuel distribution problems from low velocity/low rpm operation.I was just wondering why,as the new Tomahawk block is somewhere in the future,as usable HP comes into play, should development be set aside for a tunnel ram intake,or should this type of intake be left to the past? Just wondering...Jay B.Britt,Jr,
