My newbie status is going to show here, but oh well, here goes!

The power windows and power top on my 65 Skylark GS work without the ignition being turned on. Is this normal?

sounds like there straight wired to the battery instead of through a key switch source

not a problem as long as you ahve the proper fuse in line in fact that seems like a good way to wire them

Yep, thats normal for that era. I think(but don't quote me) that it was 1968 that the window switch was wired they way they are today. Safety feature so that kids couldn't get choked when the windows when up.

Bill - thanks for the reply. I thought a couple of other A-bodies I had driven when I was looking for this one worked the same way, but wasn't 100% sure. Figured, where else to ask the stupid questions, but here?
