Ok, here we go: pre-70 used vacuum set-ups If you are not a purist.......ie...have a 1000 pt concours car....quit sweating the details and go for functionality: Use the 1 piece set-up from full size models as I have pictured....least amount of work to install. Or use the 2 piece set-up as found in 73-77 A-body models which are much cheaper and a lil more work to install. If you are a 100% purist and want the correct 70-2 A-body set-up....be prepared to pay! I think we should start a concours section for all the purist where they can beat this and other issues to death.
I am not sure I was beating the issue to death, rather letting Juan know what is correct for his car. You are right about the big bodied ones working just fine, but bottom line is the two styles your talking about are incorrect.
George, yes there is a 69' Dealer option power trunk relaease that was not vaccum. It is kind of square looking unit or should I say harsh edges not smooth rounded edges like what you have shown. One of my friends still has one Nos in the GM box. It has all instructions for the installation on the Skylark as well as the fullsize models. By the way did you have any news on the inner fender braces.
Ok, here is the correct NOS Power Trunk Release for the Skylarks. Included are the instructions all the wiring and the glove box mounted pushbutton release:
Big thanks to everyone that responded to my request. Thanks to your help, i have been able to purchase the item and should be arriving shortly. Thanks again to all that helped and this great site. Juan
