I have put a power steering setup at my 70 GS. When mounted and started it worked fine, suddenly it stopped working? No leaks, oil level ok, belt is tight, no noises from pump, bled the system before use so there should be no air in there. I use Dextron 3 oil and oil is new. Anybody got a clue?

I saw in the manual that there is a valve in the pump, anybody experienced it getting stuck?

Yes it can get stuck from air in the system. You may need to take off the hose fitting at the pump and push in on the valve to release it. It should move up and down with pressure from a drift pin or something. You shold be able to feel it spring back when you push it. If it is rigid it is stuck shut. You may be sucking air. I have this same problem right now. I found fluid leaking from the rubber metal joint on a brand new hose. Also I would use a good PS fluid with a stop leak in it and not Auto trans fluid. Also you are going to make a mess when you take off the hose and fitting. No way around it.
