Ok, I know. What is it with Bench Seats. But that is what the old gal has. I am interested in replaceing the power motor assemblies, and I was hoping there might be an after market product, because I am not looking forward to rebuilding all the motors/hydrolics. Any Info? Jeff.
Replacing ????? Why???? Those units are/were built to last. I think you need to disassemble your seat and properly lubricate the tracks and cables.
That was plan B. One problem I had prior to tearing the seat apart to re-upholster it was that the up and down worked on the seat, but not the back and forth or the tilt. It might be the controller, but I won't know until I get some power to it and test it out manually. Jeff.
Jeff-I've got some 4 ways and some 6 ways in my stuff. The 4s have a belt that can be hard/slipping, but the 6 way is direct drive. I've had a broken wire or two in the past that caused function loss, but otherwise like George said-
I have disassembled the units (6-way). The cables and the screw type lifts all seem to be functioning. I am afraid it is in the motor somewhere. I have to hook some power to it and do some testing. I am in the process of removing tons of rust and gunk But it should look good when I am done....now if it will just work o No:
