hey guy's, rebuilding the Rochester 4bl. on the 68, 350 I just dropped in my 76 skylark. carb has been into before, (epoxy on plugs), I'm fixing that, when they put it back together they didn't hold the power piston down when installing the air horn and bent one of the arms and the tip of 1 rod. I can find the rods but I've searched everywhere for the power piston. does anyone know where I can get 1 short of going to the junk yard?

    thanks, keith

About 90-95 percent of the carbs I get in here for rebuilding have bent PP hanger arms. Not a big deal, carefully bend them back to level and EXACTLY even. Spend some time with it, to insure the tips of the metering rods come together evenly. This is critical and why most q-jet "rebuilds" are not successful.

I would also install a new retainer on the PP, in lieu of "staking" the metal around the old/shrunk retainer. All of our kits include this part....Cliff
