I recently purchased a 1970 GS that has had power doors and windows added. Unfortunately the switches are "square shouldered" not the "round shouldered" type that was stock GM in 1970.
Can I just change the switches and trim to the 1970 original style or is there more involved than this? Are all the motors and wiring the same, and just the switches different?

    Thanks in advance.

You should be able to just change out the switches.

Hate to tell you this but too late now!

The rounded corner pw switches have/use smaller openings in the panels and use different switch retainers. You can not reduce your current openings to use the correct switches. The rounded corner pdl switches are impossible to find and the last set on Ebay I saw when for $200-250 just for the switches.

So, leave it be and work on something else.

    Thanks!

Thanks guys!!! I'll cross that off my list! I guess for now I'll just leave it alone but probably will go back to non-power stuff in future.
