Personally, I think you'd be good to go with either but everyone has their favorites. Do a search, there's lots of info posted.

i have Poston's 455 headers... i like them but i can't compare them to TA's headers as i've never used them.. Poston's Headers fit great in my '72 Skylark though!

Roller rockers, TA is definately better.
Headers and exhaust , either one I believe is as good as the other. Camshafts, they both have good grinds, both have not so good grinds. I have'nt had any quality problems with the Poston cams recently. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES

I have the chromed Poston headers on my car. They do fit pretty good and surprisingly the chrome finish is in decent shape. I don't have a lot of miles on them but other chromed headers I have seen "blued" right away. These did not. I would rather have them jet coated but it's too much money, so these work just fine! I have a set of Poston's headers, had them ceramic coated. They fit great with no problems. I'm also running their 113A cam. It's slightly less aggressive than T/A's 413 cam, but I love it. And it made my car about as fast as I want it to be........NOT!:Brow:

Seriously, though, it's a great cam. I can run my a/c, power brakes and steering, and still sneak into the 11's. Just wait 'till Norwalk, looking for more. Or would that be less.

I like them both... I have TA parts (Intake & other stuff) and I also have Poston's Headers (they fit real nice) plus an old 118 cam from them thats been going strong for the last 6yrs.

I run stuff from all of the above. But I really like Poston's chrome headers. Have them on two different cars, one for almost 10 years now, and the chrome is still there. I tried the T/A long tube headers, but they didn't fit as well in my B-body cars as the Poston headers.

How's the ground clearance on the Poston headers?

there's not a LOT of clearance from the ground... but i'll tell ya.. in the 2 years i've had them on i have yet to have them hit anything...

excuse the dirtiness... my cars get driven and its hard to keep them clean on a dirt road.. :|

I've also got the chrome headers from Poston. Important Point: the fit correctly the first time, without having to get out the Big F*****g Hammer and ding them, or the die grinder for the control arm. I had mine aluminum ceramic coated. Also have the TA Performance starter heat shield. Heck, I have all kinds of stuff from Postons, TA Performance, Kenne-Bell, PAE, and TSP. Its all good, as they say.
For the rest of the exhaust system: Dr. Gas X-pipe, Walker Dyna-Max Super Turbo mufflers, Torque Tech makes tailpipes that fit.
Edit: Yes, research is important. Buy 12-point 3/8" header bolts from TA. Poston headers ship with 6-point 7/16" bolts. I mixed and matched my bolts, half are Postons, the hardest half to reach are TA Perf. TA Performance header gaskets are on my car right now.

Thanks for the pictures... those don't look bad at all (as far as ground clearance goes). I am seriously thinking of buying a set of these.
How much and where do you buy those Dr. Gas X pipes?
