Is anyone currently running a Poston NH400 cam in there Nailhead? I considering purchasing one and I would like the opinion, and the knowlege of the board if this is a good cam for the street and sometimes the strip. My car is a stock 1966 GS 401. Any opinions would be helpful in my dissicion.

    Thanks

    Dale,
I'm pretty sure Mike Shea has the NH400 in his '66 GS; believe he has been happy with it. Send him a PM.

    Steve,

Thanks for the info, do happen to know his email address? Is he on this board? Couldn't find his address in list

    Dale:
Having nothing to compare the cam to, I am very happy with it over the stock cam. However there were several things done when the cam was changed, so I cannot say that it by itself made a huge change. It does idle well, just the right lope, it pulls well as far as I go, 5500rpm. Good economy. That is about all I can tell you.

    Mike,

That's what I wanted to hear. I didn't want something with a heavy lope. Are you running the stock touque converter. Have you taken the car to track? If so what type of ET's are you running?
    Thanks for responding,
    Dale

No track time. The GS has the smaller converter for the higher stall but the wagon will have the stock converter.
Car seems to pull well all the way till I shut off.
