    Brandon -

It looks like you have all of the right parts.

How much experience do you have tuning and racing? I would expect you be able to run one to one and a half seconds quicker with your combo sorted out. Also your MPH seems low for the parts you have.

Have you looked into fuel delivery - what pump are you running? Should be a Stage 1 type mechanical at least. Also check all of the rubber lines, make sure they are not rotted or cracked.

Timing - start with 20 degrees mechanical advance in the distributor, 12-14 degrees initial, for a total of 32-34 in by 1500 rpm.

Can't help you with the Holley as far as jetting, but make sure that all of the linkages etc. are working right and full throttle is really wide open.

Are you spinning tires all the way down the track? Try launching easier and rolling into the throttle. Even with drag tires, wheel spin kills your ET.

Somebody else will give you better advice than I have. Best situation would be for you to hook up with some other Buick racers at the track for tuning help. Don't be shy - most guys are more than willing to help! Just look for an event near you, or find somebody local and head out to test-n-tune together. Do it, and you'll be in the 11's in no time!

I don't know much at all about it (like almost nothing), but based on what you are saying about launching, would guess you would run a little better with a higher stall convertor.

As for convertor... if this is primarily a street car with a couple of trips a year to the track, I wouldn't go over 3000 RPM stall or you'll never have it locked up except on the highway.

Also, the revving gets annoying just running to the 7-11.
