Hey guys. Just looking to see some combos out there. If I had an 11/12 second combo I would post mine but I don't. Bonus points for low compression setups. Thanks
Yeah but that thread was for the 455 section, this thread is in the bench so I am assuming that would include any engine or car? Derek
Here is a thread with a bunch of 12/13 second combos: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/post-your-12-13-second-455-combos.314631/#post-2618216
We ran a 9.3 compression 455 motor. Standard bore, stk 23 cc dish pistons, stk rods, never decked the block so piston was about .040 in the whole, used standard .040 felpro head gaskets, 70 cc heads with a good port and polish job, crowder custom cam just a little over .500 lift, sp1, 1000 cfm pro systems carb, mallory unilight locked out set to 32, ta 2 1/8 long tube headers, 4500 stall ultimate conveter, th400, 4.1 gears 29x9x15 tires, 3850 pounds, full interior, horn, wipers, radio, all lights etc, would run 11.30s and even into the mid 20 on great air days, Building another motor just like this with these heads as we speak, will have NOS crank, rods, piston right from the fresh never run block for our new race motor. These will be going into a 71 block and will be up for sale when complete

Yeah it doesn't matter what engine or car you are running just post it. Thanks for the link to the other thread btw

Ran a motor similar to the one above but with a 800 cfm Rochester, B4B, stock dist., switch pitch trans in a 4,600 lbs Sportwagom with 2.93's. would run 13.20-13.50 that was 25yrs ago....
