posi traction oil

    what kind of oil I have to put for my posi tration ?

    When I run the car I head in the back of the car zzzzzzzzzzzzz noise ?? like a broken berein wheel or the axle ???

  4. I'm running synthetic gear lube, Mobil 1 brand, plus a posi additive. I think the lube is 75W90 weight. GM posi additive is available at your local GM dealer, or there are other mfgrs that you can find at most parts stores. With a posi rear, you really need the additive, though some synthetics will say they work with posi rears.

    how to be sure I have a posi traction ?
    I have 12 bolt because Is a canadian car

    lift the rear of the car , both sides off the ground . put the tranny in neutral . now grab one rear wheel & spin it . if the other wheel spins in the same direction , u have a posi . if the wheels spin in the opposite direction , no posi . go to gm & buy the posi lube , if u have a posi .

    Ther is a spcial GM additive that you should use.
