posi rebuild kit.

Hi Guys, I have decided to rebuild my 8.5 posi rear.

The GM part #231127 Is for the clutches does that sound like the right ones.

Its a 8.5 28 spline bolt in axle with the S spring posi.

Also do the make a heavy duty clutch kit for the GM posi.

Why not replace the whole posi carrier with an Eaton? It will be stronger if you don't mind spending some cash. Try Randys rears and Gears best prices on this stuff. They probably have the replacement stuff also.

 

Got the right clutches.

I spent the money on some custom alloy axles and bearings.
So i am going to rebuild the posi unit i have now and see how it holds up.
I got the right clutches for it today and installed them.

It was $83.00 i know a girl that works at GM and she got it for me at her cost.
