I have a 67 GS 400 running factory 10 bolt posi and 2:93 gears, I would like a set of 3:23 for my existing carrier. Any help?

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Best bet is to remove the original rear and install a 71-2 Skylark/Cutlass corporate 8.5" rear. More parts, cheaper to build and easier to find posi units and gears from later model cars.

    i'd stay with the 8.2

if your '67 has a posi unit i'd just swap gears . i dont think 3.23's are available aftermarket , but i'm sure ya can find a used set around here .buick only had two carriers 2.56 to 3.23 and 3.42 to 4.56 .ya can find an install kit just about from anyone and it would nt hurt to change out those old bearings and seals. i got a set of 3.23's and 3.07's in my storage. i'd make ya a deal .the rear housings in the 64-67's were about an inch narrower than the 68-72's so unless you want to have fender lip issues id stay with the 8.2 .
