I took the day off and went out to the swap meet today. I was disappointed in the serious lack of Buick parts. Didn't find anything for my 67 skylark. Did see a 67 skylark for sale, running and drove 50 minutes to get there. Not real well optioned but fairly nice for a drive it home asking cost of $3000 Saw a really nice 64 Riviera, but I forgot the price. (I'm old) 66 True GS. Guy did ground up on it, has owned it for 20 years plus and says he has about $15k into it and is asking $16k. The problem is that he didn't paint it. It is in primer. To make it look even worse than it really is, he then splattered a guide coat on it so you just can't tell how straight it is, or isn't. Piles of parts and chrome to go with it. He doesn't stand a chance of getting that unless it is shiny I feel, but who knows. 67 skylark convertible, manual windows, bright red and really nice looking, however he bastardized it with a 327 SBC and a TH350 because the 300 was seized and "everybody has SBC parts". Anyway, I walked the 2 mile road course with venders on both sides at PIR, and also walked the huge parking lot and all 5 buildings full of venders. I think I must have walked 6 miles today. No freaking buick parts sellers, maybe an item or two, but none dedicated to buick. sigh. Time for whiskey.
