Portholes in the hood. 3 or 4 each side ?

    Don't know what happened with my Centurion, but the fact is that I have the 2 x 3 portholes on the hood, like a "basic" :laugh: LeSabre...
    But when looking inside the hood, the reinforcement sheet metal has 4 holes in a row, as if the hood was ready to receive a fourth hole...
    Any explaination ? (I will take pics next time).

    I think Electras had 4 holes so depending on what car was the hood went on it could have had either

    just my .02

    All these cars carried the same hood braces, so even my car has 4 holes under the hood.

    Well, I got my answer...
    Did not know that Electra's had 4 holes (fakes).

    Put 5 on, that'll give you 30 extra horsepower... oh, wait, wrong BBS :)

    That's one way you can tell the 70's cars apart, along with some other more noticable things. The LeSabre had 3, Electra had 4.
