Gentlemen thanks for the replies. The project has begun. I am going with new cores but keep yours in case I might need them. The color will be BLACK for the first ones and we will see the demand for the colors later. I will keep you up to date. Frank

Have there been any price quotes yet? I just read that a guy spent 850. getting his redone. That may be fine for the mint restoration crowd, but it puts it out of my budget. No offense to anyone.

mainebuick, Please contact buicfrank fjmcintyre@adelphia.net. He will give you a better idea on the cost. He did give me an estimate and it was no where near $850. That is too much to spend on a steering wheel. I am not sure on how close he is on finishing.

instead of wheels has anyone thought of body parts like 66 gs hoods or even just quarter panels maybe you east coast guys have alot of this stuff floatin' around but out west, these items are hard to find so for all us 64-66 guys (esp.66's)lets think bigger.oh yea $225-250 would be my max on a non-wood repro wheel.

I think the cost of the mold for the quarter panels is too much. I would like to see them made. I also would like to see some of the tail light bezels made. I have been search for parts since 1996 and have only seen a couple of NOS tail light bezels.

I still need one when they're done. :TU:

Say Ed, maybe I can get mine shipped to you so I won't get boned on shipping charges and customs fees. I could pick it up anytime afterwards, plus I owe you dinner.
