Has anyone polished thier drums? I have mine off the car and hit it with a nylon wheel and they're cleaning up nice. I'm just wondering if I should go further and buff them up? I want to eventually put torque thrust IIs on. They might look better painted black. Ideas? photos?

They're aluminum right? So some semi-chrome might just make these puppies sparkle. Anyone tried it?

Don't know what your are made of, mine are cast iron ('71). I cleaned them up with a wire wheel, then painted them to match the roof color (dark green). As a matter of fact, I used the same paint, not high-temp or anything, and it's held up suprisingly well over the years, even with the braking while towing floaty-boats around. :)

Here it is after about an hour of using a nylon wheel on a drill. Maybe Santa will bring me a bench grinder. :TU: I think I'll clean up the other one and wait till I get new wheels to do a high polish or paint.
