Ply color?

    Does anyone know what the tire ply color codes means on a 1967 Riviera built sheet?
    Does it have something to do with the whitewall, redline or blackwall tires?

    Here is one from a 1967 Riviera GS that I recently saw. The car had H70-15 whitewall tires.

    Which letter should it be for a car with H70-15 red line tires?
