I recently had a few moments and decided to take out one of my plugs and have a look. Now I've done a bit of research on this, but I cant find anything that refrences my situation.

My plug looks normal except the ground strap is discolored and looks a bit green. The ground strap isnt rough or pitted, just green at the tip and brown toward the base.

    Should I be concerned?

Maybe just a fuel additive in the gasoline you are burning. If the engine is running Ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Larry,

Thanks for the reply. I just relized that I left out a small fact. I'm running a 150 shot of nitrous in this motor from time to time. But the motor does seem to be running fine. No other signs of trouble on the plugs. Looks like the heat range is correct. <shrug>

I'm pretty sure signs of detonation would be a slightly white powdery tip, correct?

little purple spots on the nose of the plug (aluminum from the piston), and in extreme cases, physical damage to the electrodes and porcelin.

Ok. Guess I'm not pinging. I'll relax now. Thanks again.
