My Wife works as an x-ray tech at the ER near us. Last Wed. night just before midnight, while coming home she came across an accident involving a 16 yr old girl. Her car had left the road and hit a tree. My wife was on the scene within 1 minute of the accident and was the second person on the scene. She went to help the girl while the other gentleman call 911. My wife held the girls head up and kept her airway open until the helicopter arrived. She came home covered in blood and broken glass. They had to cut the entire roof and driver's side of the car off to get the girl out.

This happened just a few miles from our house and I could here the sirens and see the helicopter as it flew over our house. It was by pure chance or divine intervention that my wife took that road home, in the 9 years she has worked at the hospital she has never taken that road home. She actually got off the freeway and felt compelled to drive up that road.

I just had to tell my wife that the girl passed away yesterday afternoon. It's such a sad scenario, my wife is terribly upset that she couldn't do more to help this person. Please pray for the girls family that they will get through this tough time in their lives.

    Thanks

Very sad. Your Family and hers will be in my prayers.

Chris, sorry to hear that. Just 2 days ago a mom and her 6 year daughter from Inver Grove Heights were killed. She must have missed yielding and a Dakota hit them broadside at 65 mph and her Saturn hit a telephone pole after impact.

I am thinking of you and Kim tonite.
