I bought a 72 skylark that is located in southern Ca. and I need to get it here in Il. Is there anyone on the board that could help me out?I'll pay someone if they can. I just want to do it a little cheaper than a transport company charges. Thanks,Tim G
Fly me out fly me out and I'll drive it back...... ..............in the spring:bglasses: is there an urgent need to get it here fast? I've heard some outfits will put it on standby so to speak to fill up a load for a long haul for a little less $ than if they bring it solo...Just a thought. Good luck Tim. Dana
IS the car driveable, Tim?o No: If you COULD depend on it making the trip from there (CA) to here (IL), then I'd consider FLYING out there and DRIVING it home, too!:Smarty: How the heck did you FIND a car out there to buy? Ebay?o No::grin:
Well it doesn't run and it's pretty ugly but the body is supposed to be totally solid and should make a nice shell for the sun coupe. I got a transport quote from a friend of a friend and he said $700 in the next three weeks when he has a truck coming back from there. The car is located in Hesperia ,Ca. The guy I bought it from,Mike King has got like a dozen or so cars in his yard and I guess most of them are GS'. He never heard of the v8 board either untill now.I hope he checks it out. Also ,thanks for the replies everyone.
Yeah, Mike King is a great guy! We had a swap space next to each other at the GS nationals. He had california buick parts. I know a lot of guys on this board could be helped by him. Peace WildBill
