I have been playing with a old NHRA drag racing came on the puter. Here is my best pass so far tuning the car myself. Its a top fuel car and the race was against Kenny Bernstine {sp?} I am the car on the left. I am pulling some great ETs but so far I have not figured out the big MPH.

EDIT,, I see the camera focus light is right on the ET for the other car, it was a 4.92 something.

    Tom,

I think thats one of the games I have here. You have to remember the time the game was built. In my opinion, your ET is great for that game, you'll win plenty with that as long as your on time. If your after speed to win, gear back, and play with the timing. Also there are some clutch loads on that one right ? Set it soft and start tightening it up at about 2-2.5 seconds. I am playing the Pro Stock car and truck game now(stupid snow, lol). Same scenario with this game. I can ET down to 6.70's but I am having a hell of a time getting any MPH over 202. The game I have now is back when Jeggie was king and Mark P was a summit car. The season I have going now I am in first by about 5 rounds 4 races in, and I am walking away with this one. Options set at highest for opponant difficulty, and I am getting comfy now. Playing with the air gap in the clutch and primary weights I am seeing consistant 4.20's r/t's too. Anywayssssss, have fun, and if I remember correctly, when I was happy with my runs on that game, I was blowing it up on every pass right before the finishline. Watch your budget.....................LOL. I'll have to see if I can dig it out again and remember something. But I dont think I ever got the ET you have, and only made like 317/8 mph.

I have been playing all morning, I got my MPH up tp 320-322 now at 4:40-4:45 if I can keep it strait. I am still doing match races and so far I am way quicker than the games cars. I can sleep a little at the lights and still drive around them with no problem. I got my MPH up by taking a little angle out of the rear wing and some weight of the front end.

I have had this game a long time but hated it. I got a good joy stick yesturday and after a million crashes I can make it to the finish line pretty good but still have some problems getting stopped.

I might be brave enought to try a funny car now. :Dou:

My setup, clutch grams- 115, secondary clutch timer-3.2, blower over drive-37, comp ratio-7.4, ign timing-66, nitro %-95, front end weight-547, wing angle-3*

good for low 4:40s at 320 mph on a real good track. I have been running at Englishtown.

Hi Dave, I have yet to blow one up with my tuneup, but then I am not doing the real race. I am just doing allot of testing and some match racing so maybe in that mode it won't blow up. But in the novice mode I have had them blow up when running set tuneups from the different crew chiefs. I was just going to try and push things real hard and see if it blows up. I am good at crashing yet, probably on half of my runs I crash it, I am slowly getting better though. I can make it to the finish line most of the time but stopping is still tough sometimes.

What setup do you have for controls? I had no idea what to get, I got a new ST290pro joystick yesturday and it works pretty good. I mess with a Pearl Harbor game so it works for flying also. The control I got is really made for Win 2000 or XP so I have to use a old windows driver on this PC with 98se.

What game has the trucks and prostocks? I assume you have to shift them besides all the other stuff thats going on?

I also have a NASCAR HEAT game I got from NAPA, I really suck at that one yet. Its fun driving into walls and other cars at 180 mph though. :Dou:
