Are the two nuts on the firewall that mount the emergency brake assembly chromed like the booster mounting nuts or are they black.

Silver zinc I beleive..I can't recall for sure, and the fenders are on Armstrong's car now, and you can't see them.

    Yippie!

Doing ragtop door-quarter-top alignment now.. had to take a break before I hurt someone.. :af: New seals..

    Never fun..

Be thankful you have a hardtop this time around Jim.

PS.. master mounting nuts are a self locking flange nut, in silver zinc. No chrome..

    Silver Cadmium will do..

Zinc and Cadmium are two different processes.

I believe that is what I have.

I installed the original paper asphalt sound deadeners today. If you get a set do not attempt to unroll them until they are preheated all the way through.

I think every car I have pulled apart at home and in wrecking yards has had these two attaching nuts/studs covered with the undercoating sealer material--probably because those holes lead to the interior of the car. Patton
