If you're referring to the plastic buttons in the rocker shaft, that keep the rockers from moving side to side - contact TA Performance (part # TA 1316-1 for v8's). Click here for a description.
Hole or save Do I have to replace the whole thing or can i get by with just finding the buttons at a local auto. store
Well...you can either order them from TA (they look to be $15), or you can try either NAPA, or maybe your local Buick dealer. Not sure how much they are there. I would make sure to inspect the rockers and shafts for excessive wear! Also, make sure to get all broken plastic pieces out of the shaft!!
Thank you I will have to check in the morning. I did clean out all of the little peices. Most of it made it to the oil pan. Should I replace all or just the ones missing?
They get brittle over time! Change them all - cheap insurance. That way, you can inspect ALL of the rockers and both shafts.
Thank You Thank you all for the help :beer I found them at a whole in the wall auto parts store for 20 cents each :TU: Ziggy 85 Regal 350 Build
