Attached is a picture of a 4 pronged (missing one) plastic plug that is inserted in two holes near the bottom of the driver & passenger door glass (2 dr ht).
What is their purpose? Is there a source or replacement?
I am planning to order replacement glass - all side glass and rear window- , shortly, for my gs.
I know these inserts are brittle and maybe I can save them using a heat gun to softer the prongs.

Don't worry about those little fingers if they break off. The hard part is removing the buttons without breaking one of the prongs that snap in the hole. I used a 3/8 or 7/16 socket and gently pressed them out after breaking the first couple.

They are needed - they draw the window in once it reaches the top by sliding on the felt covered pads that are screwed on the door. One at the front and one at the rear.

I couldn't find news ones locally so I took a set out of a parts car.
