Who have you used to rechrome plastic withing the last 12-24 months? I've got a few plastic items that need to be re-chromed and are not available as reproduction items. Several of the places we used for plastic chrome plating have closed up shop. The last plastic chrome I had done was by CGAR in Washington state but it took 8 months to complete. Now in his defense, he did tell me it would take 8 months to complete, so he's honest and upfront. Quality and price was great. I found this place online but I don't know anyone that has used them. You have nay experience with them? Restoration | Vacuum Orna-Metal
I used Vacuum Orna-Metal , but it was 20+ years ago. They did nice work on my radio bezel and door pull backing plates.
I just sent 6 off to Gcar about a week ago. So I'm thinking maybe August, which should be great for me.

I had parts done 11 months ago. They were OK the painting had a few minor masking issues. But the chrome seems ok. Below is who I communicated with. They quoted 8-10 weeks and were pretty close to on time. It seems Al was very happy with the stuff he had Vacuum Orna-Metal last year. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/best-place-to-restore-dash-bezel.304137/page-4
Instrument Specialties provides the service, they use a company in MA to do the metalizing. Mike Mancini has been featured on Graveyard Cars for their dash restorations. His dad Jack is a board member. '65softtop4 https://www.instrument-specialties.com/services/plastic-chrome-bezels/
