I live in Florida. No such thing as "best pizza".

But when I lived in Baltimore, we had the best "pizza from the window". You could walk up to the window, and by a slice or pie, and two streets down an Irish Pub that had the best beer. Smithwick’s (Smitticks). Dang I miss the 60s... :(

Bigga Pizza or Zimorino's here in Missoula. Back in Conrad where I grew up, Coach's Corner, and that's my favorite all time....too many micro brews to count here. I think we have 25 breweries within 30 miles.

It was real Sicilian pizza. "Eggy" crust. You had to "fold it to hold it", none of that cheap doughy bread crap. Slice of heaven for a quarter.

Best Pizza in B-more,??? Late 70's...Hmmm I don't know about best pizza, but here sure were a LOT of good eats in Federal Hill/ South Baltimore area. Greek food; Irish bars...OHHH... Of course, you COULD go over to Little Italy, if you dared drive through the Inner Harbor area. (Not the smartest thing to do with SC plates and a Rebel flag plate on the front... )

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

I used to drive pizza around in a 75 LeSabre back in the early 80s, so I've had my fair share of good as well as revolting pizzas. I honestly couldn't even look at a pizza until about 3 years after I left that job. As for a good one, there used to be a place in nearby Fort Saskatchewan called Perry's that was pretty good, don't know if they still exist. Then there's Royal Pizza here in Sherwood Park, an animal called the "Chef's Mistake", which has spinach, bacon, feta and onions on it. Sounds gross, but man, is it ever delicious.
My only complaint with the place is the rather lacklustre calibre of their beer, I would equate it to be on the same level as an equine byproduct.

I lived on 600 block of Glover street, right off Monument. (Eastern Monument District).

Yeah, we were all "ethnic", Roma, Italian, Jewish, Black, Irish, and so forth.

Go one or two blocks in any direction and it was a "different country", and for the most part, we all got along, with the occasional "differences worked out" as was normal.

Lots of good places here in Worcester which has become a bit of a destination for foodies over the last ten years or so. If you want paper thin crust go to the Corner Grille. If you want it by the slice with unusual toppings (tortellini, beans, ranch dressing, potato to name a few) go to Antonio's. If you want brick oven go to D'Acostas (haven't been there yet). If you want fancy hoity toity pizza in a sit down restaurant go to Volturnos. If you like "Greek style" pizza (made in a shallow pan) there are lots of mom and pop places all over the city. If you like more of a deep dish style in a sit down restaurant go to Dino's.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I used to own pizza shops. Sold them. Retired. One is still in business, but I won't eat there. Other one, the new people ran it out of business. Both changed to cheap supplies. I refused to buy anything less than the best.
I have friends and associates owning shops. I eat at their shops. Sometimes I help when they are busy. Sometimes I make our own pizza.

I don't cook with any salt, or at least I try not to add any. So Ive gotten so used to virtually no salt in my food, when I eat pizza for example, it tastes like its drenched in salt. Kinda ruined eating pizza for me
