Pinstripes on a Red GSX

I'm getting ready to add the GSX Stripe and Decal kit to my red '71 Skylark/GSX Replica. My question is regarding the pinstripes that outline the black stripes... what color would be "correct" for a red car as the pinstripes are red on all other colors? I've looked at as many pics of red cars as I can find and all I see are what appears to be white, or orange color?

Also, are these pinstripes painted on or decals?

Any feedback is appreciated?

The pinstripe on a red X is orange. I will see if I can find th paint code that dave Kliner gave me when I painted mine. It was close to a Chrysler Hugger orange.

I ordered the Phoenix Graphics Stencil & Decal kit, and haven't received yet. By any chance do you know if that pinstripe is part of the Stencil, or are they painted on by hand?

I have another favor if you don't mind... Since your car is the same color scheme as the one I'm doing, would you mind sending me some full size pictures I can use for reference? There's not many Fire Red GSX pictures online, and the ones that are, are small and faint!

I seen one years ago that had cortez gold as the border stripe , it looked good, id prob go with the orange myself tho, 3/16 looks better imo thats just me tho
