I need a replacement rear end pinion yolk ( yoke)for my 72 Stage 1 , 4-speed convt. 27 spline/ 8.2 rearend. I have tried to procure one but no luck, so far. Just to clarify, this goes in front of the rear end/ differential and attaches to the driveshaft. Any/ all leads are appreciated. Thanks in advance. Upstaged in Michigan.
Try Randy's Rears and Gears, They have a huge inventory of rear end parts and prices are the best as well.
Also are you sure on the 8.2 rear. Did someone change it? 71 and later should have the GM corporate 8.5 rear if it is original. If it is non original maybe you should consider finding the 8.5 as it is much easier to find parts for.
8.2" yokes use 2 U-bolts. The 8.5" yokes use 4 screws with 2 straps to hold the driveshaft yoke in place. Your 72 car should have the 8.5" rear. Contact oPh or Monzaz here and they will have the item you need.
Well, You never told us what rear axle you have in your car. Once we know that info, someone can help. Did you contact oPh or Monzaz on this board????? They will have the yoke once you clarify what you have.
Should have a few 8.2 BOP pinion yokes, I'm always parting out BOP 8.2 rears. Also, have at least one from a '68-70 Buick 8.2 r/e, & gobs of 8.5-3R yokes. As George mentioned, best to confirm which A-body r/e you have, one of us can help you further. :3gears: Roger
