Thanks to Jim Schilf for the air cleaner-chrome option, fits the Quadrajet. I had the chrome valve covers on another car. When I found the air cleaner, I knew it had to go together this way. Before I was going to use the finned AL valve covers, but did not have a proper air cleaner. See LX engine in the background-its for the other coupe! Cheers!

:TU: You've "Nailed" the look I'm going for on my 425 Ted. You know that she's not going to breath too well through that stock air cleaner. I like to flip the lid and put a taller air filter in for better air flow. It looks Super!

    Flip your Lid

I remember doing that to a cadillac-the snorkel was only about an inch diameter, made it very quiet. Flip that and that great secondary sucking sound made me smile. I like that tall air cleaner element idea-more area and more of that SOUND!
    Thanks guys!

Looks Great! Where did you get the headers?

    TA Headers

TA just started shipping the Shorty headers this year. Talk to Dave. I have to see how they sit with the power brake booster and all that, but they sure bolted to the engine smoothly. They have to help those little nail valves breath! TN

Speaking of the TA headers...does anyone know how they perform?

I know Patty (Skwee-G) has the TA headers on her GS, they looked great. Mybe she can chime in on performance.

    Patty?

    Thanks!

Apparently I am going to have to head n/w to thrash on that 425. Way too many conga lines and gridlock around here!
I *did* get some tire shrieking just clearing an intersection a while back and was looking around for the scofflaw until I realized it was me!
What I can attest to at this point is how nice the whole system sounds. Very low tone, while sound is very subjective-I find it a very pleasant rumble that is not at all obnoxious even when I get in it a little.
A few events coming up north and west so maybe I will conduct more not too scientific research!
Have received a few questions as to where I had gotten them and of course out came "the lists."
