Anyone have pictures of their setup for the kickdown cable on a Th350 with a qjet? The engine is in my '85 Regal using the stock V6 throttle cable. I have full movement with the throttle cable, if you were wondering. Pictures of the angle of the cable, what bracket you use (stock or otherwise), etc. Also, if I understand right, the cable with the big slotted end is for a Th350, and the one that has the little plastic teardrop piece is for a TV trans, (Th200, th200r4, etc) right? Thanks for any input/help.

Earlier Buicks had the cable go from the gas pedal to the transmission. Not sure about the 85 Regal as they usually came with the 200 transmission.

It's a Th350 and a '76 350 out of a '76 Regal. The car it's going into has no real bearing on it.

Actually it does. The 70- 72 Skylark/GS had the detent cable go from the gas pedal to the transmission, not the carburetor to the transmission (like a Chevy). The type of car dictates the style of gas pedal that came with that type of car. I just wasn't sure whether an 85 Regal had the type of gas pedal that would accommodate the type of cable attachment like the earlier cars. If it does, that is easier to do. This is a picture of the cable attachment from the gas pedal. The detent cable is the lower cable with the slide clip. DetentCableGasPedal.JPG

    alec296 i need another buick

G body Regals use the carb attachment. The gas pedal thing was phased out in early 70s.

It's been awhile since I had my 86 Regal. Can't remember what the gas pedal style was. I wonder if you could attach an earlier cable to the gas pedal the same way?

The pedal does not have the same attachment points for the pedal to transmission connection. All g bodies with Automatic transmissions used the carb to transmission connection. Thanks for the pic though, someone will find it useful.

Yeah that's the type of bracket i'd need. I guess there were a few different styles.
