Cool! Is it actually the same manifold as the cast one...only this one is aluminum? Or does it have some extra tweaking involved?:Brow:
Bill i still remember the day at the BCA Nats in Kokomo when you were driving the Cat around the car show lot with the headers open. Heads were turning to see what was making the lovely tunes, then the sound of the clutch being engaged had them all lusting. I wonder how many car alarms the Cat has set off in BG. This is and always will be one of my fav cars.
Yeah Greg...i was in 7th HEAVEN that week.I wish i had some video of my car....a solid lifter, open header nailhead makes the SWEETEST soundp Greg.....want to go see Ratdog with me,it's a saturday night show.Adam....no tweaks on this one but there are a couple out there that they played with carb spacing and you cannot mount a stock cleaner on them. They did not cast in the coil mounts and a couple other details but they are basically the same as cast iron......except MUCH lighter! Peace WildBill
At least those weird green bugs didn't get on it, like they did in your driveway on my GN, someday you gotta let me drive that car, I wanna drive a nailhead stick shift so bad! I can't tell you! RV
Thanks for taking the time to share with us your beautiful motor. I think those headers are also a thing of beauty. Take care WildBill. Bill Bailey
I just gotta know 3 things,, Where'd ya get it?? Which lung did ya give up? Do they have another one? Lou
Very Cool Bill :TU: Joe - Buick 'X-coded parts' are experiments made by the engineering department :Brow:
Can I crash this party? Agree with the Nailhead Power sentiments. These 425 2x4s rock! Although my riv is more of a show boat than a go boat, it will still scare the heck out of most unsuspecting passengers that think we're going for a cushey ride in a big old luxury car. The 66GS Wildcat is in the top of my list all time great cars. I'd like to see a pic if the car itself if you can, Bill. Thanks.:TU:
Mike, i will try and scan in a few good ones to post in the next day two.Your engine looks great, that's not a X-code manifold is it? Peace WildBill
I'll take a closer look next week and get back on that. Came with the car. Now that you mention it I can see the resemblence.:Smarty:
Mike that is a great looking engine. I have a great appreciation and now a great want for a nail head car, probably wont be a 2X4 car but i am always looking.
