Can anyone with a 64 or 65 Skylark that has after market wheels post pics of their car? I am looking at buying a set of 16s or 17s for my wife's car and would like to see some pics of both sizes.

    Thanks

I am also trying to decide if 17 inch wheels are to big on a 64-65 Skylark. I want it to look good and not pimped.

I have Hothkis small block springs all the way around. Here is a link to the wheels on Intros. site.

You can see the detail better there than I can post here. Real good people to deal with. They make the wheels to order so it takes some time but I highly recommend them.

I will have to check the tire sizes and get back to you cant recall off hand.

The car looks good and it happens that my wife's car is a white convertible with white top. It looks like your car sits a little higher than ours. Did the springs raise your car when you put them on? Do the front tires rub any when making tight turns?

The tires just barely rub at full lock on the sway bar all though my swaybar isnt stock. My car sat much lower before the spring change. It sat to low for my likes but a previous owner had a unknown brand of lowering springs that also had coils cut.

Mark how do the Hotchkis springs ride? Also what shocks do you have. Shawn you have the Hotchkis springs on your T, that is why I ask how they ride on the Skylark. They are really stiff on his T and it sits pretty low. I also wanted to say that your 64 looks great with those wheels!

My 65 with 17 ttt............ If anybody wants a set of Eilbach (sp) front lowering springs for a 65 let me know...I will sell mine for $75 plus shipping. I had absolutely no problems with these springs and they rode great ..... They are I believe only ~2-3 years old.....I switched over to a 455 and had to go with a different spring. Pm me for paypal and shipping details. Thanks J.

That is the perfect stance and look on your '65. Sweet ride!

Thanks for the pic, that helped seal the deal on the size. Do you know what off set to buy and the back spacing front and back?

Hey nasty navy The ride is slightly stiffer than stock but not ruff by any means. I run KYB gas shocks.

Thanks for the info Mark. It is interesting how the same make springs will ride different in different vehicles.

    Sootie that 65 looks great!

Have you seen the American Racing AR-500s? They look close to the Buick Ralley's and come in 17 inch by what ever width you want. They would look awesome with Buick caps.
