Yessir, 1958 with a 361 dual four. I'm not sure if it was a real Super D500 or not. It's possible, though, there's quite a few high end cars there.

You got it, Bill! It should definitely be on everyone's bucket list, it's cool when a city absolutely supports something like this, and the whole town LOVES it! I wish it didn't always land on the same weekend as the BCA event in Puyallup, because I'd love to get out there and meet the guys on the board. This show and cruise is just too big and amazing for me to miss, though. Someday maybe....here's videos from last year, if you forward to about 0:30-1:30 in the first vid and 9:30 in the second you'll see a couple similar looking bald guys making a cameo. That's my little big brother Layne/alaskagn in the passenger seat....I'll post this year's video once someone gets it on youtube.
Man that would be a LONGGGG haul in an old bomber, but I'd love to do it! The big sky country is still on my bucket list. Got a taste of it at Yellowstone in '65 by train. What a blog that would make; a trip up the AL-CAN highway too. Have a pals widow(!) I need to meet up with in medford, Or. too. GADS... Me n' Pat and 3 hounds in a Buick, what a trip! Cripes Bill, I'm already at eye level with a normal car's license plate, just check out how tall that street rod and Caballero are next to me... if I lower myself down anymore I'll be changing people's oil from the driver's seat ..... you can fly out sometime if you want. I got a beater truck (if you won't burst into flames from driving a Ford) or a big white whale you and Pat can float on over. I've been wanting to take more than one of my cars some year, and I absolutely refuse to trailer any of them anywhere, so no towing another car with the F100.
WOW! What a generous offer! Maybe next summer for the Coeur d'Alene (Heart of Alene) show. This year we're packed. Never been and always wanted to check out Missoula. Just so ya know, flying these days would prohibit bringing the Calumet and accy's along LOL... Im gonna make sure Pat sees this. Dorfs aint a problem, just no stinkin' dodges ! That may cause a spontaneous combustion haha... Do you stay overnight in CDA? ws
No worries, same offer for all my Buick buddies that are too far away to drive out here. I got 3 "rental cars" just waiting for pilots, the Mach 1 is a one man (me) mobile. We take off Friday around 11 a.m. because the cruise is that night at 6, and we stop in a few "establishments" along the way. Usually head back this way around 4 or 5 Saturday afternoon after the show, and get home in time for dinner. That way you still have Sunday to recuperate. It's a year away now, plenty of time to grind on it, but it's a standing offer.
