Pet peeve

    What's with these EBAY people claiming leather upholstery on like a 64 Skylark and a 1968 Riv? Sure it was meant to LOOK like leather but smell it for God's sake!
    I ask em who put the leather in and they say factory and get all bent outta shape.
    I guess it was called "leatherette" back then but NO animal was involved!

    I've seen ads describing vinyl as leather also.

    I think that same '68 Riv ad you refer to is the latest one I've seen.
    Are they really fooled?

    This is the animal they get vinyl from!:laugh:

    I've seen it too....and quite frankly never knew for sure......

    So, REAL LEATHER was not an option, on say, 68-72 A-Bods ???

    Just "Pleather" ???

    You are correct. Leather was never an option for "A" bodies from 68-72.

    Come on now, what about corenthian (sp?) leather, as I understood it, tons of cars came with this genuine leather!

    Man! I haven't seen a Nauga in YEARS! :laugh:

    Anybody take somebody else (or been yourself) Nauga-Hunting? I'm gonna go set some live traps, see if I can catch one of the little fellers...:bglasses:
