I need a scanner for my stuff as well as friends and family's cars. I've tried the traditional $$$$ scanners like OTC and Snap-ON. They're expensive and clumsy with all the little keys/cards and updates are difficult and lots more $$$. Scanning software on a laptop seems like the way to go. I've done some research and the Auterra software is most attractive to me so far. http://www.auterraweb.com/ AFAIK, It does everything the Snap-on tool does and I like how it has brand specific upgrades for ABS and airbags for only $50, and lifetime free updates I can download. The Dyno stuff is cool but I have no use for it at the moment. All that for $219? even less at Amazon

    Any experience/comments?

    Thanks,
