No excuses. The Seahawks played badly so the mediocre team won. With that dumb passing play call, they deserved the loss. Maybe they'll get another chance next year. :Do No:

I used to think that Pete Carroll was a good coach. Now I think that he's a freaking idiot. Seattle gave the game away at the end by calling the pass play instead of asking the best running back in the league to run one yard. The Seahawks deserved to lose because their coach is stupid and incompetent....

Haters will keep hating. That's fine, the master showed the pupil when not to throw a pick. Now I have some more shirts to buy and a parade to go to.

Not a hater, per say but you have to admit that Seattle lost the game and really New England was there to accept the trophy. I imagine there is an opening on the coaching staff for an offensive coordinator:)
Also what about the circus catch at the 5. Oh well we still have hockey

Oregon Ducks="out" Strike 1 for the Northwest

    Portland Trailblazers= ??? Probably Strike 3...

Everyone expected the running play so its not incompetence to run a play nobody was expecting. Besides the interceptor even said that he had a premonition, a vision before the play happened that he would make a big play, he said it was a feeling and just went with his gut. No coach can anticipate supernatural intervention. The interceptor had help from above (or below) depending on your point of view (and which team you like). I wouldnt be so hard on the coach. Seattle played great, New England was slacking until the end, then they started to play to win once there was blood in the water. It was a fantastic game! and as a Green Bay fan, ah, the sweet sweet taste of revenge... Mmmmmm yummy. :)

I thought it was a pretty decent game. Carrol will get his ass busted for that call for the rest of his life. I didn't think it was a terrible call. Lynch's red zone stats are not actually that great. A surprise passing play wasn't out of the question. Wilson threw it into a ton of traffic. Oh well, what an excellent game though.

On a side note- I am really beginning to hate watching football on NBC. After every good Seahawk offensive play they cut to Tom Brady or Bellicheck and showed their reaction to the play. It really annoyed me. Who cares what Brady is doing off the field. They must have a camera man dedicated to Brady. IMO they are feeding off the drama off the field and should be focusing on the game. Maybe they could show a replay? sounds crazy..

Also they tried to get bellicheck to throw Carrol under the bus twice when they were handing him the Lombardi Trophy. Bellecheck showed some class and wouldn't play into it. The dude just won the superbowl and you ask him about the other coach? Get real.

"Dumbest play call in the HISTORY of NFL football," tweeted former 49ers receiver Dwight Clark, who made a pretty good grab himself: The Catch.
And this from NFL career rushing leader Emmitt Smith: "Worst play call I've seen in the history of football."

This thread needs to be re-titled. "Patriots GIVEN the Super Bowl".

Brady threw 4 touchdown passes and two interceptions an also came back from a 10 point deficit. And...you think the super bowl was handed to them??? If Brady didn't throw two interceptions they had it in the bag early on. So the interception at the end was just good playing by the PATS. Everybody outside of New England hates the PATS but that's okay. We won.

Yep, The mediocre team beat all the other mediocre teams to get to and win the superbowl. Brady scored 14 points in the fourth qtr. against a team that has only given up 13 points in the 4th qtrs. of the last 9 games combined. Brady also set records for most completions in a superbowl and most all time touchdowns. You can mention the two interceptions but they still came back from down 10 points in the 4th qtr. Everyone is complaining about the call at the end but if not for a damn lucky catch they would have been there. Also credit is do to a walk on player who was working at Popeyes who made a great defensive play. All very mediocre.

It should read "Seattle Seahawks lost the superbowl".
    That's what happened

I'm not a Patriots fan per say, but I can't stand Seattle. Plus I have family in Massachusetts so I'm pretty pleased. :TU:
