And what about just replacement parts online? I priced out brakes on RockAuto.com not bad came to about $130.......and $232 for shipping!!!!!!! Damn brokerage, duty, shity exchange rate! Anyone out there have any help? I know i could just go to the store but that's just to easy.

Hi Adam-what do you mean Great White North? It's 66F(18C) here this morning! I haven't had much luck looking for Canadian on-line vendors.Even if there were a lot of them you can't avoid the exchange, transportation, etc which they would have to pass along in their pricing for goods imported to Canada. In terms of Canadian manufacturers in the "speed"business there aren't many either-Air Inlet Systems and Bear's(Strange Canada) come to mind .There are a lot of good engine builders here however and a lot of good sources for remanufactured type parts.I get much of my stuff from my GM dealer,Napa or Canadian Tire.If you have to bring in parts use the Post Office if at all possible to avoid UPS's brokerage fees and ridiculous rates. With oversize stuff you are stuck-in that case try to order as much as possible from that vendor at the same time as brokerage basically is at a fixed rate and any additional shipping weight doesn't add all that much.Another way to convince yourself you are saving money is to make a trip or two to swap meets in the US.Sometimes it works out-sometimes!Particularly good in Florida in Feb. or Mar.! Good luck-Rod

ya your right it is pretty warm right now! i like the swap meet idea if i could afford to take a day of work, let alone afford to drive to the states. being single and paying a mortgage sucks, and i can't even fit my car in my garage!!!!!!!:af:
