I've been chatting with the owner of a cast iron intake that may or may not come from a 1965 300 engine. The part number is 1374559 F. This is different from the numbers listed in my Buick Master Chassis Parts Book and the copy of Hollander's that I have. Can any body help me with this. I have a nice '65 engine that's just waiting for a cast iron intake. I'd love to complete the deal with him. Thanks.
I'd love to help you, as I have a '65 original four barrel car, but it's put away for the winter out at my grandma's and I don't think I'll be able to get out there this week...
Hello Aaron, How are you? It's going to take me a while to find one of these intakes. So whenever you get the opportunity to check that part number, please let me know. Thanks for your help Mark
Hey Mark, If I'm lucky and the weather gets nice I hope to be getting the car out by the end of the month. If I don't get back to you within a month or so, just leave another message to remind me...I'm pretty forgetful sometimes! p Then I'll go get those numbers for ya! Good luck in the meantime! Aaron
Tough to read but I think it says 136665 F I have the stock 4 barrel and intake. There may be different part numbers for California intakes.
Thanks again Nick. That's the intake part number that I had on a previous engine. Is the engine from a Skylark or other '65 model car? All essentially the same, but I'm starting to think that the 1367299 part number is for the Electras and other big bodied cars. Mark
65 Skylark 300 4bbl I wish my digi camera was working, I'd take a closer pic of the intake. It is all stock and a CA car so I think the intake may be a little different but, essentialy the same.
