Parking brake cables

Doing a 350 to 455 conversion in a 70 skylark and need the big block cables and hook for under car figured I’d ask around before going thru Todd at stage 1. Let me know Thx Steve

 

The TH400 uses a longer front cable,and a shorter intermediate cable,along with a different hook,due to the transmission being location further back on the frame.

Did the TH350 to TH400 several years ago. You'll need to drill the slot in your cross member unless you have a TH400 one.

I may have a spare hook that I bought from Bruno at the time but never used.

And Bruno has the 400 crossmember if you go that route,with the 400-430-455 bracket that holds the cable.Its different then the 350 bracket.Bruno.

 

I do have the kits in stock if needed......

 

Ok thx guys ! I’ll drill out 350 member and prob gonna buy kit from Todd ! Just figured I’d go after the used parts first , but will source them new. Thx for replies !

 

Good idea Steve - most of the "used" brake cables are toast by now.

Well Bill,not really as the ones I have are mostly over 20 years old and more.Kept inside hanging,no water,and very little humidity.Bruno.
