Does anyone have any photos of their routing of the parking brake cables who have swapped from a 350/th350 to a 455/th400. I'm finally bolting up major parts new trans, engine, but forgot the cables routing. especially around the cross-member. and preferably on a convertible. thanks, nate
The front cable and the intermediate cable are different lenghts for a TH350 car vs a TH400 car....the primary cable from the e-brake mechanism is longer for a TH400 and the intermediate cable is shorter because the x-mbr is moved back when installing a TH400. The primary cable is supposed to go through the oval opening in the x-mbr for a TH400 car. If your x-mbr does not have the hole, run the cable above it like a TH350 car. I belive the shop manual shows the cable layout.
