   400 4spd. Member

   Is it correct to have a painted bellhousing (red) behind a 455? Also the sheetmetal inspection plate for the clutch. Sorry, but I am more familiar with Pontiacs, and all of this stuff being painted red just doesn't look right to me.
   The car is a 70 GS 4 speed.

   The buick bell housing I've seen have all been unpainted.
