Hey guys. Quick question I got a S-P timer for my tranny and the directions tell me to hook the green wire to brake light switch. There is a orange and a white wire on my brake light switch. Which one do I hook in to? Thanks.

I think Larry70GS (Mr Wizard) may have one? Ping him for instructions or email Jim Burek/ PAE (forgot his handle here?).

    John,
One of the brakelight switch wires has power all the time, the other, only when the brake pedal is depressed. You want the box to be activated when you step on the pedal. Forget which color that is, just check it with a test light, or mutimeter.

Orange should be the power wire, the white would be the switched wire then......

Thanks for the help guys. Is the white wire definetly the switched wire? My test light is not working and I haven't got a chance to get another one yet.

I believe so, the white wire should be the one. John, no test light? How about a multimeter?

Orange wire should be battery power wire... :Smarty: ...unless someone was messing around under there...... :)
