I ahave been having a bear of a time getting my P/S mounted the correct way. The new way I have assembled it is rubbing it on the Alt. belt. Does anyone care to post a pic of their mounting. I have attatched a pic of mine to show what i have done. Feel free to criticize me for doing something dumb. I am past the point of even caring.

rubbing the alternator belt? this is a new one on me...
I'm guessing that this is a big block swap into a small block car? I've heard of this swap causing the PS belt to rub the water pump.
The steel parts of the bracket that are bolted to the pump are different between big and small block cars. (the alum. bracket is the same.) the small block arrangement sits the PS pump much higher that the big block pump, causing the belt to rub the water pump.
Your picture shows the 350 brackets.

Your close with the swap. The car is a GS455 but had a 350 PS pump on it and I am trying to get it back to origional. I see the differences now. Looks like I will be trying to get the correct brackets for the 3rd time.

Can you tell me what years use the same brackets? I see a pump on ebay for a 72!

    Thanks for your help

68-70 for sure, probably 71. 72--nope, will have provisions for AIR pump...
Also, I believe 72 used the round ps pump with the tall neck
