Here's a couple on EBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=34202&item=2430839747 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=34202&item=2430845664 Both seem a "tad" high in price to me, especially the convertible, given the color change and the change from bench seat to bucket seats. Along with a few other issues like the the top needs to be replaced. Whew. Buy it for 65,000.....restore it to concours original and you would have to at least double your money, if not more. Korrie
Is this guy for real I think he's on the crack pipe! Don't forget he dropped the price on the rag top, a month ago he wanted $100,000 for it. Now he is down to $70,000. WOW I'll take two. Did he say broker or robber. Chris
He says that someone paid 65K for a non numbers matching 70 Stage 1 convertible a few weeks ago? That is very hard to believe. If I had 65K to drop on a car it better be darn near perfect and number matching... ou:
Re: Is this guy for real It's a different car Chris. That red '70 Stage1 convertible 4-speed sold. I don't know the price... This is a different car.
These cars are not going to reach the "Buy it Now" prices, but I don't suspect the seller ever thought they would, if they sell it will be a private transaction. Ebay is a cheap means of advertising to the world, alot of buyers will see these cars and some serious money will likely change hands. The ragtop is from a "bang for the buck" stand point gonna be the better of the two, the 70 stage cars seem to be the most sought after ( although I much prefer the earlier cars) ragtop and matching drivetrain give it the real potential to be a premium car(after a grossly expensive resto). The console/buckets conversion wouldn't detract me much, while it's not original equip, it is the configuration that most of us want, and that is worth a bunch in my book. Bench seat and column shift steering columns are comparitively a dime a dozen.
